What android app permissions mean and how to use them

Since the launch of an Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), users gain greater control over their phone's app and settings. All the permissions of an app can be controlled by the owner of the phones to protect the privacy and identity thief. Now, users should not give all permissions to the app all the time. Besides, the users can take full control over the permissions by allowing and denying it through the phone setting. According to the post written on the tech2 website, Google will remove apps from the play store that ask for a call log and SMS permission. Around thousands of apps are already been suspended which were unnecessary accessing sensitive data from the users over a long time. Such apps have violated the privacy policies of google which includes data collection, storage, monitoring user location, and distributing data to the third parties app.

In sort, permissions in an android work when users allow it. In the beginning, the android app must request permission to access sensitive data such as contacts, phone logs, SMS, storage, and location. For instance, if you want to see photos and videos on your phone, you open your gallery and so the app request you to allow the storage permission in order to access photos, media, and files from your device storage. All the apps will ask you to accept each of the permissions via a popup box that asks you to "allow" and "deny" each request. In some scenarios, if you deny the permission, must of the features obviously won't work and the app may be close.
